But he was also the son of a mortal woman, only making him a Demi-God...or half-God. Hercules's family was murdered by his step-mother, Hera...Zeus's wife who despised him because he was the product of her husband's affair. That was part of what drove Hercules to help people. And he would always...always risk his life to save someone else's life, no matter what the consequences.
